THE COCOONS-SLEEPING PODS ON CLIFFS
LOCATION: AMIERA, PORTUGAL
The holistic connection between man and nature lies within the creation of “The Cocoons”. Perched along the slopes of Vale De Moses, these organic shape pods are envisioned to emulate the caterpillar while in the developing stage under the safety of their cocoon prior to transforming into a butterfly. The cocoon will serve as a protective layer against the surrounding elements, a perfect place to commune with nature and contemplation. Maximizing the site’s potential, thirty cocoon pods with adequate distance in between are spread around the site.
This project was a call for a support guestroom villa expansion for Vale De Moses- one of the premier yoga retreat destination in Portugal.
